Key Features

The Omicron TESTRANO 600 is a portable three-phase testing system designed to comprehensively perform the main electrical tests required on both single-phase and three-phase power and distribution transformers. Thanks to its design with integrated three-phase sources and its single-connection-for-multiple-tests concept, the TESTRANO 600 eliminates the need to reconnect cables between tests, reducing the total testing time by up to one third compared to traditional single-phase testing equipment. The equipment supports transformer ratio tests, winding resistance, dynamic resistance, short-circuit impedance, frequency response of stray losses, vector group verification, and cooling tests, in addition to being extendable with accessories such as the CP TD12/15 to measure power factor/dissipation and capacitance. Its compact design of approximately 20 kg makes it easy to use in the field, for routine tests, advanced diagnostics, or factory acceptance tests (FAT).

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of tests can the TESTRANO 600 perform?

The TESTRANO 600 supports common electrical tests for power and distribution transformers, including: transformation ratio test, DC winding resistance, dynamic resistance, short-circuit impedance and leakage reactance, frequency response of leakage losses, on-load tap changer (OLTC) scan, and vector group verification, among other diagnostic tests.

Thanks to its integrated three-phase design, only three connection cables are required to perform multiple tests without the need to reconfigure the wiring between each test, allowing the test cycle to be completed in approximately one-third of the time it would take with traditional single-phase equipment.

The equipment offers three internal sources with a capacity of up to 33 A DC per phase or 400 V AC, providing the necessary power for complete testing of three-phase transformers without the need for additional equipment.

The TESTRANO 600 can be combined with the CP TD12/15 accessory to perform additional measurements of power factor/dissipation (tan δ) and capacitance, as well as excitation current measurements, expanding the diagnostic capabilities of the system.

This system is ideal for offline testing of power and distribution transformers both in routine tests and in advanced diagnostic tests in the field, as well as in factory acceptance tests (FAT). Its portability and compact design also make it suitable for use in AIS and GIS substations.
